Return and Exchange Policy
Because we deal in men's grooming products, Barbu Beard Co. will not refund or exchange orders due to personal taste. If unsure about which scent profile to order we suggest ordering our sample kit before placing a larger order. Additionally, we encourage customers to read our product descriptions before placing an order.
We will, however, provide an exchange of equal value due to allergic reactions 15 days from delivery date. It is advisable to first test products on the inside of your arm before applying them to your face. Many of our products do contain carrier oils derived from nuts, so if you have a nut allergy please be aware.
Returns of beard balms, butters and co-washes/shampoo will not be accepted due to risk of contamination. Beard oils may be returned for a refund if the packaging remains sealed. All beard oil bottles arrive to the customer shrink wrapped. The shrink wrap must be intact upon its return to Barbu in order to receive a refund.
If you receive an incorrect item please let us know asap and the correct item will be mailed out at no additional cost. You will be allowed to keep the incorrect item as a gift.
Broken, Missing or Damaged Merchandise
We package our orders to best of our ability to prevent any damage during shipping BUT if your product arrives broken or leaking we will replace it. Please attach a photograph of the damaged merchandise, proof of purchase (order # or confirmation email) and email it to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Missing item: All orders arrive with a packing slip itemizing the items on your order. If by any chance you did not receive one of your items please reach out to us via email for further analysis.
A prepaid shipping label will be sent to you via email for your return.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. Once the item is mailed, we will only be able to follow up with the tracking number provided by the carrier. We are not responsible for delays or mistakes made by the carrier. We are not responsible for any customs, import taxes or other fees that one may incur with international orders.
You should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
